Soho Housing consolidates workflow with Esuasive Finance

Soho Housing is a community-based Housing association located in the heart of London. With the core objective of supporting communities through affordable homes, commercial lettings, and a range of other services, Soho Housing has played a pivotal role in sustaining Soho and other central London locations for over 50 years. 

Delivering insight through strategic transformation

Soho Housing first partnered with Esuasive as part of a strategic digital transformation project, which included the implementation of our cloud-based Housing Management System on Microsoft Dynamics 365. 

Following this, Soho Housing had reached a critical point of frustration with its legacy finance system, which had become increasingly outdated and inefficient, resulting in mounting strain on its finance team. 

Widespread data fragmentation across asset management, procurement, and multiple accounting platforms was making visibility and decision-making very difficult, revealing an urgent need for a modern, integrated solution.

Consolidating workflows into a unified platform

From the outset, it was clear that Soho Housing needed to consolidate its legacy systems into a single platform, streamlining workflows while providing greater visibility, control, and operational efficiency.

Built specifically for the UK Housing sector, Esuasive’s Finance solution was rapidly deployed to provide a single integrated, cloud-based environment for operational and financial management. 

Powered by cross-functional capabilities, our Finance solution provides out-of-the-box functionality, eliminating manual processes and reducing errors whilst being fully configurable to specific business requirements. 

In this case, implementation resulted in significant improvements to internal control through a robust purchase-to-pay system, enabling housing and repairs teams to raise work orders that feed directly into the finance system.

An agile and collaborative approach

Throughout the project, Esuasive worked closely with Soho Housing’s finance team, acting as an extension of their internal team and reducing business change shock. By engaging users throughout the development stage, we aimed to ensure strong buy-in and faster adoption.

Through close collaboration and iterative deployment, Soho Housing progressed from project kick-off to completion in just nine months, leveraging rapid deployment with phased learning sprints to deliver a solution tailored to their specific operational requirements.
